The Sociedad Española de Malacología was legally established on August 8, 1980, as a non-profit scientific association. Its headquarters are located at the Museo Nacional de Ciencias Naturales (MNCN) in Madrid.[1]
Mission and Objectives
The aims of SEM include promoting and disseminating malacological research, increasing scientific knowledge of mollusks, supporting conservation and sustainable use of molluscan biodiversity, and organizing activities to protect natural heritage and ecosystems related to mollusks.[1]
Publications
